Individual support lies at the heart of what Embley School does, celebrating each student’s uniqueness rather than drawing comparisons. Through the Student Council—modeled after the House of Commons Election Committee—students take an active role in shaping school life, with Year 13 leaders and senior prefects helping coordinate events. As older students participate in leadership programs, attend mathematics masterclasses, and pursue activities like sailing, golf, and skiing, they naturally become mentors for younger peers.
Learning Approach at Embley School
Small class sizes enable personalized attention, giving students access to individual consultations whenever they need them. The UCAS program guides students toward university admission, while career preparation workshops open doors to explore different professional paths and clarify future ambitions. These resources help students work systematically toward achieving what they envision for themselves.
Programs for International Students
Students who speak English as an additional language receive targeted support through the EAL program, which helps them adapt to academic life more smoothly. While the one-year Pre-A Level course prepares students intensively for advanced study, the two-year A Level program lets them choose three or four subjects based on their own interests. Beyond academics, Embley School fosters strong friendships and memorable experiences through partnership between students, families, and staff.
Special Programs at Embley School
Formal events connect students with business and higher education professionals, including figures like James Ellison and Dr. Georgia Cole, broadening perspectives and creating opportunities to ask questions directly. Through project work valued by leading universities, students can earn UCAS points equivalent to half an A Level. They select projects ranging from dissertations to practical applications, receiving support and non-exam assessment that develops independent research skills and project management capabilities essential for career advancement.
